Overview

The Atosa CYR400P is a modular ice storage bin built to sit beneath a commercial cube ice machine and hold production until it is scooped for service. Atosa's spec sheet groups it with the CYR700P under the heading "400 lb. and 700 lb. Ice Storage Bins" and rates this model for up to 395 lb of ice — 396 lb in the specification table. It is made to work with the Atosa YR450-AP-161 and YR800-AP-261 ice machines, which are sold separately, and every bin comes standard with a bin adapter for mounting the machine on top.

Installation & Requirements

The CYR400P is a storage cabinet: Atosa's specification table for the bin itself lists no voltage, power or refrigerant figure, because the electrical, water and drain connections are all made at the ice machine mounted above it. The included bin adapter joins the two units, and the machines' 27 1/4" x 20" top opening sits over the bin's 30 1/4-inch cabinet — the YR450-AP-161 measures 30 1/5 inches wide, so the stack reads as a single 30-inch unit from the front.

• Electrical: the YR450-AP-161 runs on 115/60/1 with a NEMA 5-15 plug standard (9.6 A, 965 W); the YR800-AP-261 requires 208/60/1 (7.5 A, 1750 W)

Operation

With the machine mounted and connections made, cube ice falls through the machine's top opening into the insulated bin below. The YR450-AP-161 makes half-diced cubes at 3/8" x 7/8" x 7/8" and produces up to 460 lb per 24 hours; the YR800-AP-261 is rated at 810 lb per 24 hours. Since the bin holds 395–396 lb, a busy bar or restaurant will draw the bin down through a shift and let the machine rebuild it between rushes — that cycling is normal for a bin of this class. The slanted, top-hinged door swings up over the front for scooping, and the included ice scoop keeps handling consistent. The YR450-AP-161's power switch is accessible without panel removal, and its air filter is removable. Atosa's own copy notes that cube ice cools drinks while preserving the flavor of every beverage, which is why this bin-and-machine pairing is a fixture behind bars and in convenience stores.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Atosa's spec sheet states plainly that maintenance and cleaning are not covered under warranty, so routine care falls on the operator. The points the documentation does specify:

• Install the included 3M water filter system and cartridge on the paired ice machine; Atosa recommends replacing the 3M cartridge every 6 months, though the interval may vary based on water quality
• Clean the condenser frequently on the ice machine, and leave the unit room to breathe for fresh air circulation
• The YR450-AP-161's air filter is removable for cleaning

Warranty coverage per Atosa's spec sheets is 2-year parts and labor, with 5-year compressor coverage on the ice machines.

Applications

Atosa's product copy places this bin in restaurants, bars and convenience stores — anywhere cube ice is scooped for beverage service. The 30 1/4-inch footprint and 395 lb capacity suit bar wells, soda stations and back-of-house ice points running a YR450-AP-161 or YR800-AP-261 on top. When production outgrows the 400-lb class, the CYR700P in the same family offers 700 lb of storage in a 48 1/4-inch-wide cabinet.
