  • Tax-Exemption Documents: If you claim tax-exempt status, we collect supporting documentation such as exemption certificates.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Browser Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and language preferences.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, search queries, referral URLs, and other browsing behaviour on our website.

  • Infrastructure Security:Our application data is hosted on Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure with SOC 2 Type II compliance, automated backups, and continuous monitoring.
  • Regular Audits: We conduct periodic security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and address potential risks.
  • Incident Response: We maintain an incident response plan to promptly address any data security incidents. In the event of a breach involving your personal information, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required under PIPEDA.

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to continuously improving our security practices.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Our retention practices are as follows:

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
  • Order and Transaction Records: Retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with CRA tax reporting and record-keeping requirements under the Income Tax Act and the Excise Tax Act.
  • Customer Support Records: Retained for two (2) years following the resolution of your inquiry to assist with any follow-up matters.
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely, as it does not identify individual users.
  • Marketing Consent Records: Records of your consent to receive marketing communications are retained for as long as you remain subscribed, plus two (2) years following unsubscription.

Stripe (Payment Processing)

Stripe processes all payment transactions on our behalf. When you make a purchase, your payment card details are transmitted directly to Stripe's PCI DSS Level 1 certified servers. We do not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers. Stripe may collect additional information as described in their privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Supabase (Data Infrastructure)

We use Supabase as our backend infrastructure provider for data storage, authentication, and real-time functionality. Your account information, order data, and other operational data are stored securely on Supabase's cloud infrastructure. Google Analytics (Website Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized and aggregated data about website usage, including page views, session duration, traffic sources, and user demographics. Google Analytics uses cookies to identify returning visitors. We have enabled IP anonymization and do not combine analytics data with personally identifiable information. Shipping Carriers

We share your name, shipping address, phone number, and email address with our shipping partners — FedEx, UPS, Purolator, and Canada Post — to deliver your orders and provide tracking information. Each carrier processes your information under their respective privacy policies.
