Installation & Requirements

Placement and ventilation

The supplied manual calls for a flat surface and level placement, and says the cabinet should be positioned so it can be used and maintained. The manual refers to adjusting levelling legs; product literature for this model lists pre-installed casters. Allow free air circulation around the condensing unit. The manual’s positioning diagram specifies at least 50 cm of space and warns that restricted circulation can affect cabinet operation.

Place the cooler away from direct heat sources such as radiators and direct lighting, and protect it from direct sunlight and draughts. The manual says not to install the equipment in an explosive environment, in the open air or where it is exposed to rain. The stated optimum operating ambient temperature is 50°F–90°F.

Operation

Starting and setting the controller

Switch on the unit. The electronic panel illuminates and displays the cabinet’s current air temperature; the compressor indicator also illuminates. After a power interruption, the compressor normally restarts after a short delay. During normal operation, the display shows the air temperature inside the cabinet.

To view the set temperature, press and hold the SET button for one second. To change it, press SET and use the up or down control to raise or lower the value, then press SET to confirm. The manual gives the controller operating band as 36°F–46°F. Separately, Atosa’s spec sheet recommends setting the refrigerator between 35°F and 38°F for food preservation, while OnlyAtosa lists a maintained range of 33°F–40°F. Loading and defrosting

The manual says to load merchandise only after the unit has reached the desired operating temperature shown on the display. Do not put uncovered hot food or liquids inside.
