MCF8724GR

Overview

The Atosa MCF8724GR is a three-door, glass-door refrigerated merchandiser for commercial foodservice and retail display. Its 69.5 cu. ft. capacity and three sections provide space to organize chilled products across 12 standard shelves. The black steel exterior and stainless steel interior pair a customer-facing display with a commercial refrigeration cabinet.

Atosa recommends setting the refrigerator between 35°F and 38°F for food preservation. The unit uses a self-contained, bottom-mount refrigeration system with R290 refrigerant. Its lighted header panel and standard LED interior lighting illuminate the display and merchandise area.

Installation & Requirements

The manual specifies a 115V, 60Hz, single-phase power supply for the MCF8724GR. It states that the supply voltage should remain within ±6% of the unit’s rated voltage. The unit comes with a power-supply cable; a suitable thermal-magnetic circuit breaker, which is not supplied, must be installed between the mains power point and the refrigerator cable. The manual says this electrical work must be completed by professionally qualified persons.

Place the refrigerator in the coolest, best-ventilated part of the room. The manual says not to install it near heat sources or direct sunlight, and to keep ventilation openings clear. Before use, remove the packing straps, cardboard and PET protective film. The manual calls for cleaning the refrigerator with mild detergent and drying it with a soft cloth before operation.

R290 safety: The manual warns of fire and explosion risk from flammable refrigerant. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate defrosting except those recommended by the manufacturer. Do not store explosive substances, such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant, in the appliance. The manual also cautions against using electrical appliances inside food storage compartments unless they are of a type recommended by the manufacturer.

Operation

Use the electronic temperature controller to regulate the refrigerator. Atosa recommends a 35°F to 38°F setting for food preservation. The manual identifies the digital control unit as the component that regulates operating parameters and says to consult the accompanying digital-controller instructions for those parameters. It cautions users not to change the microcomputer parameters privately, as doing so could damage the compressor or other functions.

After connecting the unit to its electrical supply, the manual says to check that it is operating as demonstrated by the pilot light in the mains switch coming on. The glass doors close automatically and have a stay-open feature for loading or access. Door locks are standard. The lighted header panel and LED interior lighting are standard features of the display cabinet.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The manual strongly recommends cleaning the refrigerator regularly, specifying a monthly cleaning routine. Disconnect the refrigerator’s power-supply cable from the mains before any cleaning operation. Clean the refrigerator surface with mild detergent, then dry it with a soft cloth. The manual also directs users to clean the unit before use after removing its packaging materials.

The manual states that servicing should be performed by factory-authorized personnel and that replacement components should be like components. It lists improper installation, misuse, power-supply defects, inadequate maintenance, unauthorized modification, non-original spare parts and failure to follow the instructions among circumstances for which the manufacturer cannot be held liable. The manual identifies R290 as a fire and explosion hazard; take care not to damage the refrigerant circuit during use or care.

Troubleshooting

The manual’s operational check after connecting the refrigerator is to confirm that the pilot light incorporated in the mains switch comes on. It does not provide a symptom-by-symptom troubleshooting chart in the supplied text. The manual identifies power-supply defects and improper installation as possible sources of problems, and says electrical connection work must be carried out by professionally qualified persons. Avoid privately changing the control parameters; the manual warns that this can damage the compressor or other functions. For service, the manual directs users to factory-authorized personnel and like-for-like replacement components.

Applications

The MCF8724GR suits commercial settings that need refrigerated products visible and organized for customers or staff. Its three glass-door sections can be used to merchandise packaged drinks, chilled grab-and-go items or other refrigerated products in a restaurant, café, convenience store or foodservice display area. The 12 shelves support product organization across the cabinet, while the lighted header panel provides a visible area above the display. Confirm that the unit’s stated 35°F to 38°F recommended setting is appropriate for the products being stored.
