Installation & Requirements

The manual specifies a 115 V outlet for the appliance. Before connection, it instructs the installer to check that the electrical supply matches the requirements on the factory label and is provided with full safety protection or an automatic circuit. The manual also identifies a grounding terminal. The specification sheet lists a NEMA 5-15P plug and NEMA 15A/125V.

Keep air circulation around the condensing unit unobstructed. The manual cautions against installation in an explosive atmosphere and says the appliance should be protected from rain, direct sunlight and draughts, and kept away from direct heat sources such as radiators and direct lighting. Operation

Use the electronic temperature controller to check and adjust the setpoint. In the manual’s XR06CX controller instructions, pressing and releasing the SET key displays the setpoint. Press SET again to save, or wait 10 seconds for the setting to be stored.

The same controller instructions describe starting a manual defrost by holding the DEF key for more than two seconds. The manual says the keyboard can be locked by holding the indicated key combination for more than three seconds and unlocked by holding the corresponding combination until the display shows “on”; the key symbols are not legible in the supplied text. For food preservation, Atosa’s specification sheet recommends setting the refrigerator between 35°F and 38°F. The manual’s MGF8452GR technical table lists a temperature range of +1°C to +8°C.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Before use, the manual calls for cleaning the cabinet’s walls and internal parts with an antibacterial detergent. For plastic parts, it specifies a damp cloth, followed by drying with a soft, clean cloth. It advises using little or no water and avoiding harsh or abrasive solvents and detergents.

The manual warns that parts such as the evaporator and condenser may have sharp edges. Use protective gloves when cleaning near them, and do not approach these parts with bare hands. Atosa’s specification sheet also advises cleaning the condenser frequently so the unit can receive fresh air; it does not state a fixed cleaning interval.

The manual says the equipment’s refrigerant and insulation blowing gas require special disposal procedures. It directs users to consult a service agent or similarly qualified person for disposal.
