About the Atosa MSF8302
Overview
The Atosa MSF8302 is a 48-inch wide, two-door refrigerated preparation table engineered for professional foodservice environments such as delis, sandwich shops, and salad bars. It combines a refrigerated storage compartment with a spacious stainless steel worktop, creating an efficient station for cold food prep. The unit maintains safe food temperatures while providing immediate access to ingredients, streamlining operations in high-volume settings.
Key Features
The MSF8302 is built with features that prioritize hygiene, efficiency, and reliability in a commercial kitchen.
- Stainless Steel Construction: Both the exterior and interior are made of stainless steel, offering corrosion resistance and simplifying sanitation.
- Rear-Mount Compressor & R290 Refrigerant: The compressor is mounted at the rear and uses environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant, contributing to a reduced environmental impact.
- Dixell Digital Controller: This controller allows operators to precisely monitor and adjust the internal temperature, which is maintained between 33°F and 40°F.
- Integrated Work Surface: A 10-inch cutting board is built into the unit, providing a dedicated space for slicing and assembling.
- Self-Closing Doors with Stay-Open Feature: The doors close automatically to maintain temperature but can be held open when needed for loading.
- Magnetic Door Gaskets: These ensure a positive seal on the doors to prevent cold air loss.
- Pre-Installed Storage: The unit includes pre-installed 4-inch deep stainless steel pans and one shelf per section for organized ingredient storage.
- Pre-Installed Casters: Casters come pre-installed for easy repositioning of the table within the kitchen.

Installation & Requirements
Proper installation is critical for optimal performance and longevity. The following instructions are derived from the provided installation manual.
- Positioning: Place the cabinet on a flat surface and level it by screwing and adjusting the leveling legs to ensure efficient operation. Lift the cabinet only from the exterior of the base to avoid damage. Do not move the cabinet by applying pressure to the surface.
- Clearance & Environment: The equipment must not be installed within an explosive atmosphere or in the open air exposed to rain. Position it distant from direct heat sources (radiators, direct lighting, etc.) and protect it from direct sunlight and drafts. Air circulation must be freely maintained around the condensing unit. The optimum operational ambient temperatures are between +10°C / +40°C with relative humidity within 55%.
- Electrical Connection: Check that the electrical supply conforms to the requirements listed on the factory label and that it is provided with a fall-safe protection or automatic circuit breaker. Before beginning any work, turn off the equipment and disconnect the plug.
- Initial Cleaning: Before use, all parts of the cabinet should be cleaned. For the walls and all internal parts, use an antibacterial detergent. For plastic parts, use a moistened cloth. Dry with a soft, clean cloth. Use little or no water. Do not use harsh or abrasive solvents or detergents. During cleaning, do not approach bare-handed those parts which could cut (evaporator, condenser, etc.) and always use protective gloves.
- Standing Time: If the device has been positioned horizontally (integral condensing unit), wait two hours before activating it.
Operation
Correct operation ensures food safety and equipment efficiency.
- Activation: Connect power and adjust the thermostat.
- Storage of Foodstuffs: Place merchandise into the unit only after it has reached the desired operating temperature given on the digital display. Do not place uncovered hot foods or liquids inside the unit. Package or protect foods when possible. Do not limit the circulation of air inside the cabinet with superfluous obstacles. Avoid frequent or prolonged openings of the door. Wait a few moments before re-opening the door just after it has been closed. Whilst stocking, only open and fill a drawer at a time to eliminate the risk of over-balancing.
- Defrosting: The defrost timer automatically runs 4 times in 24 hours. Its timer will reset to the time of the initial first start-up.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Regular maintenance is essential for hygiene and performance.
- Periodic Cleaning: For hygienic reasons and improved performance, clean at least once a week the internal basin. Make sure to switch off the power supply before cleaning.
- Cleaning of Condenser: For improved performance, clean the condenser at least once a month. Unscrew, rotate and remove the protective grill. Remove the dust deposited on the front surface of the condenser using a brush and a vacuum cleaner and restore previous conditions.
- Period of Inactivity: During periods of inactivity, remove the products from the cabinet and then follow these directions: Remove the plug out from the outlet and carefully clean the unit as per periodic cleaning instructions. Cover the cabinet with a cloth that allows air circulation in the interior.
Troubleshooting
Often, a malfunction is due to simple causes that can be easily eliminated.
- If the cabinet does not operate: Make sure that the plug has been correctly inserted into the socket and that the supply cord is not damaged.
- If the required temperature is not achieved: Make sure that the command switch is turned on and that the thermostat range is correctly regulated. Ensure the cabinet is neither in the defrosting phase nor in the post-defrosting phase. Check that the evaporator is not covered with frost and that the condenser is not blocked with dust. Verify the cabinet is not located near heat sources or that its condensing unit has uninterrupted airflow.
- If the cabinet leaks water: Check the drain tube is not blocked.
- If the cabinet is unacceptably noisy: Make sure the cabinet is level and stable on the floor. Check that no part of the cabinet is in contact with other objects or furniture.
