ES300

Overview

The Hobart ES300 is a commercial mixer documented in Hobart spare-parts Form 43193 (July 2009), titled ES300 Quart Mixer Replacement Parts. Installation & Requirements

The sections of the manual reproduced here are parts lists rather than step-by-step instructions, but the connection hardware they list defines what each build ties into. The 100-120 V single-phase build (ML-134452) connects through a 125 V cord-and-plug assembly (00-916909-00014). The 200-240 V single-phase build (ML-134467) uses a 250 V cord-and-plug assembly (00-916909-00015), and the CE single-phase build (ML-134470) uses a CE cord-and-plug assembly (00-916909-00013). No cord-and-plug assembly is listed for the 400-460 V three-phase builds (ML-134469 and ML-134472), which instead carry a 50 VA transformer and, on ML-134472, 600 V fuses.

Internal connection hardware includes 1/4 QC terminal blocks (00-916269), an electrical strain relief (FE-022-84) retained by a 1/2 lock nut (FE-024-88), and terminal block 00-477562-00002 on ML-134472 and ML-141026. Controllers mount on dedicated plates (00-917472, 00-917574, 00-917764) held with a controller-plate brace (00-917830). Before ordering electrical parts, confirm the ML number on your machine so the controller, relay, cord and fuse set matches the build.

Operation

Running is managed through the control panel and the build-specific controller, with switching handled by the relay set listed for each ML number: a 3-pole relay and a 2-pole relay on ML-134452; a 2-pole relay with a 240 VAC coil on ML-134467 and ML-134468; and a 3PDT 240 V relay and a 2-pole 240 VAC-coil relay on the ML-134469, ML-134470, ML-134472, and ML-141026 group. That group also includes a delay-relay timer (00-917701). Accessories are driven through the attachment hub, which is closed off by the black attachment plug (00-917322) when no attachment is fitted, and the manual's bowl guard section covers the guard assembly over the bowl area.
