About the Atosa MSF8304
Overview
The Atosa MSF8304 is a 72-inch refrigerated standard-top sandwich prep table for commercial kitchens preparing sandwiches, salads and other cold dishes. Its top combines a full-width cutting board with an enclosed, refrigerated pan area for ingredients, while the cabinet below stores additional food. Three doors provide access to the refrigerated base, which has a listed capacity of 21.1 cu. ft. The product page gives the capacity as 21.13 cu. ft.
The top accommodates 18 1/6-size food pans and comes with pre-installed 6-inch-deep poly pans. A removable stainless steel pan liner and locking divider bars form part of the pan-area setup. The stainless steel interior and exterior provide a wipe-clean finish for routine kitchen use.
Key Features
- Pan and prep space: The 18-pan top keeps a range of sandwich and salad ingredients close to the work surface. The full-width cutting board supports preparation alongside the ingredient pans.
- Refrigerated base: The cabinet provides 21.1 cu. ft. of storage, with three doors and one pre-installed shelf per section.
- Airflow and control: A concentrated airflow layout circulates air around the pans and through the cabinet. An electronic temperature controller manages refrigeration; the product description identifies a Dixell digital controller.
- Refrigeration system: The unit has a rear-mounted compressor and uses R290 refrigerant. The product description identifies an Embraco compressor and describes reduced noise and vibration, as well as energy savings of up to 40% compared with other types.
- Door details: The three doors have recessed handles, magnetic gaskets and self-closing hinges with a stay-open feature. The product description says a door left open below 90° closes automatically, while one opened beyond 90° stays open for loading.
- Mobility and access: Pre-installed 5-inch swivel casters make the unit movable; the product description specifies brakes on two casters. Stainless steel door locks are also described on the product page.

Installation & Requirements
Before positioning the MSF8304, check that the space reserved for it allows the unit to be used and serviced. The manual calls for a flat surface and levelling; it says to adjust the levelling legs for efficient operation. Lift the cabinet from the exterior of its base, rather than applying pressure to its surface. Remove the white PVC protective film and other shipping materials after unpacking.
If the unit has been positioned horizontally, the manual instructs waiting two hours before activating it. The manual says not to install the cabinet in an explosive environment, outdoors or where it is exposed to rain. Keep it away from direct heat sources, direct sunlight and drafts. Air must circulate freely around the condensing unit; the manual warns that failing to observe these conditions can affect operation.
For electrical connection, check that the supply matches the requirements on the equipment label. The manual calls for a full-safety protection device or automatic circuit protection. The listed electrical supply for this model is 115V, 60 Hz, single phase, at 2.8 amps, with a NEMA 5-15P plug.
Operation
Connect the power and adjust the thermostat. Allow the cabinet to reach the desired operating temperature shown on its digital display before putting food inside. The manufacturer spec sheet recommends a setting between 35°F and 38°F; the product overview separately lists a range of 33°F–38°F.
For food storage, the manual says not to put uncovered hot foods or liquids in the cabinet. Package or protect foods when possible, and avoid placing unnecessary obstacles inside that could restrict air circulation. Avoid frequent or prolonged door openings, and wait a few moments before reopening a door immediately after closing it. When stocking, open and fill one door at a time.
The manual states that the defrost timer operates automatically four times in 24 hours and resets to the time of the initial first start-up. The cabinet should not be mistaken for a freezer or used to store medical supplies; the manual lists salad refrigeration, preparation and sale of salads, fruit, vegetables and cold dishes as possible uses.
Cleaning & Maintenance
For periodic cleaning, the manual says to switch off the power before cleaning. It recommends cleaning the internal basin at least once a week for hygiene and performance. Use an antibacterial detergent on the walls and internal parts, and a damp cloth on plastic parts; dry with a soft, clean cloth. The manual cautions against harsh or abrasive solvents and detergents, and advises wearing protective gloves around parts that could cut, such as the evaporator and condenser.
The manual recommends cleaning the condenser at least once a month to support performance. Before cleaning it, turn off the equipment and disconnect the plug. Unscrew, rotate and remove the protective grille, then remove dust from the condenser’s front surface with a brush and vacuum cleaner. Restore the grille and other parts to their previous positions afterward.
For a period when the cabinet will not be used, remove the food, unplug the unit and clean it as described for periodic cleaning. The manual says to cover the cabinet with a cloth that allows air to circulate inside.
Troubleshooting
If the cabinet does not operate, the manual recommends checking that the plug is properly inserted and that the supply cord is not damaged. If the required temperature is not reached, check that the control switch is on and the thermostat is set correctly. The manual also suggests checking whether the cabinet is in a defrost or post-defrost phase, whether the evaporator is covered with frost, and whether dust is blocking the condenser.
For a temperature problem, the manual further advises checking that the cabinet is not located near heat sources and that the condensing unit has uninterrupted airflow. These are operator checks from the manual; it does not provide a model-specific repair procedure in the supplied text.
Applications
The MSF8304 suits sandwich shops, delis, restaurants and other commercial food-service settings that need a substantial refrigerated ingredient station and storage cabinet in one unit. Its 18-pan top supports access to multiple toppings during service, while the cutting board provides an adjacent preparation surface. The refrigerated base can hold additional ingredients such as meat, vegetables and fruit for later preparation or service.
