About the Atosa MSF8306
Overview
The Atosa MSF8306 is a 48-inch refrigerated mega-top sandwich prep table for keeping frequently used ingredients close to the work surface while storing additional product in the refrigerated base. The top accommodates 18 1/6-size food pans, and a full-length cutting board provides a continuous surface for assembling sandwiches and salads. The two-door base provides 13.38 cubic feet of refrigerated storage.
A self-contained, air-cooled refrigeration system maintains the stated 33–38°F temperature range. A Dixell digital temperature controller operates the system. The unit has a rear-mounted compressor, stainless steel interior and exterior, and a set of four pre-installed swivel casters.
Key Features
- 18-pan mega top: Holds 18 1/6-size food pans, keeping a selection of sandwich and salad ingredients within reach.
- Full-length cutting board: Provides a work surface across the top of the prep table.
- Refrigerated base: Offers 13.38 cu. ft. of storage behind two doors for backup ingredients and other refrigerated products.
- Temperature control: A Dixell digital controller operates the refrigeration system, which is listed to maintain 33–38°F.
- Variable-capacity compressor: Atosa describes its variable-capacity heavy-duty compressor system as capable of saving up to 40% more energy and producing significantly less noise than a conventional system. The product listing identifies an Embraco compressor.
- Door features: Magnetic gaskets help maintain the cabinet temperature. The doors close automatically when left open at less than 90 degrees and stay open when opened beyond 90 degrees. Recessed handles and standard stainless steel door locks are also listed.
- Mobility: Four pre-installed 5-inch swivel casters are listed, with brakes on two casters.
- Food pan inclusion: Product information lists food pans as included. Confirm the pan material and supplied configuration when ordering.

Installation & Requirements
Place the cabinet on a flat surface and level it for operation. The installation instructions state that the equipment should be positioned where it can be used and maintained, and that air must circulate freely around the condensing unit. Do not place the unit outdoors or where it is exposed to rain. Keep it away from direct heat sources, direct sunlight and drafts. The instructions give no numerical clearance requirement.
Check the equipment nameplate against the available electrical supply and use the required protective circuit provision. The product is listed at 115 V, 60 Hz, single phase, with a NEMA 5-15P plug. Connect the plug to a suitable outlet. If the cabinet has been positioned horizontally, the manual instructs users to wait two hours before activating it.
Before use, remove the protective film and transport materials, then clean the parts that contact the cabinet interior. The manual cautions against removing protective panels that require tools. It also advises lifting the cabinet from the base rather than pressing on its surfaces.
Operation
Connect the power and adjust the thermostat or digital control. Allow the cabinet to reach its required operating temperature before loading food. The operating instructions advise against placing uncovered hot food or liquids inside. Package or protect food where possible, and avoid obstructing air circulation inside the cabinet.
Limit frequent or prolonged door openings. After closing a door, wait a short time before opening it again. The doors are listed as self-closing when left open at less than 90 degrees; when opened beyond 90 degrees, they remain open to assist with loading. The manual describes an automatic defrost timer that cycles four times in 24 hours and resets to the time of initial start-up.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Disconnect power before cleaning. For routine interior cleaning, the manual calls for cleaning the interior basin at least once a week. Use an antibacterial detergent on walls and interior parts, and a damp cloth on plastic parts; dry with a soft, clean cloth. Use little or no water. The instructions caution against harsh or abrasive solvents and detergents. Wear protective gloves when cleaning near parts that could cut, including the evaporator and condenser.
Clean the condenser at least once a month to help maintain performance. Before starting, switch off the equipment and unplug it. Unscrew, rotate and remove the protective grille, then remove dust from the front of the condenser with a brush and vacuum cleaner. Restore the grille and the previous setup after cleaning.
For a period when the cabinet will not be used, remove the products, unplug the unit and clean it as described for routine cleaning. The manual advises covering the cabinet with a cloth that allows air to circulate inside.
Troubleshooting
Cabinet does not operate
Check that the plug is correctly inserted in the outlet and that the supply cord is not damaged. If the cord is damaged, do not continue using the equipment; arrange appropriate service.
Cabinet does not reach the required temperature
Check that the controls are switched on and that the thermostat setting is correct. The manual also recommends checking whether the cabinet is in a defrost or post-defrost phase, whether frost is covering the evaporator, whether dust is blocking the condenser, and whether the unit is near a heat source or its condensing unit lacks uninterrupted airflow.
Water leaks or the cabinet is unusually noisy
The manual lists separate checks for water leaks and excessive noise but the supplied text does not include the specific remedies for those issues. If basic checks do not resolve a problem, consult qualified service personnel.
Applications
The MSF8306 suits commercial sandwich and salad preparation where staff need an ingredient rail and refrigerated backup storage at the same station. It can support delis, sandwich shops, restaurant prep lines and other food-service operations assembling sandwiches, salads, fruit portions or cold dishes. Organize the top pans around the menu, and use the refrigerated base for additional ingredients kept for service.
