Installation & Requirements
Proper installation is critical for performance and safety. The unit contains flammable refrigerant (R290).
- Location: Install indoors on a flat, stable surface in a dry, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight and proximity to heat sources.
- Clearances: Maintain a minimum clearance of 4 inches (10 cm) on both sides and between the back of the unit and any wall or object to ensure adequate airflow for the condenser.
- Power Supply: Requires a dedicated 110V–120V, single-phase, properly grounded outlet with a three-pin receptacle. Do not use an extension cord or share the outlet with other appliances.
- Initial Setup: After positioning, lock the front caster brakes or adjust leveling feet for stability. Allow the unit to sit for at least 2 hours after moving before initial power-up. Clean the interior before use.
- First Operation: Run the unit empty for 24 hours before loading any products to verify proper system function. Only place pre-chilled items inside once the internal temperature has reached the specified range.
- Handling: Never tilt the unit beyond 45 degrees. The glass components are fragile.
Operation
Separate switches control the lights and the cooling system (compressor, controller, and fan motors).
- Setting the Temperature: Press and hold the SET key on the digital controller for more than 2 seconds. The current set point will display, and the °C or °F LED will blink. Use the △ or ▽ buttons to adjust the value. Press SET again or wait 10 seconds to save.
- Advanced Settings: Enter programming mode by pressing SET and ▽ simultaneously for 3 seconds. Use SET to cycle through parameters and △/▽ to adjust values. Press SET + △ or wait 15 seconds to exit.
- Loading: Do not exceed 50 lbs per shelf. Ensure products do not block the air outlets or inlets or directly contact the side glass. Never place excessively hot food, medicine, or explosive/flammable substances like aerosol cans inside.
- Power Interruption: If unplugged or after a power outage, wait at least 5 minutes before restarting the unit.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Disconnect power before any cleaning or maintenance.
- Interior/Exterior: Clean at least once a week for food safety. Use a mild, non-corrosive detergent and water. Wipe thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth to remove residue. Do not use a direct stream of water from a faucet.
- Condenser Coil: Clean the condenser coil at least once a month to maintain efficiency. Remove the bottom front panel with a Phillips screwdriver. Use a vacuum cleaner with a wand attachment and a soft, non-metallic brush to remove dirt and debris. Do not bend the coil fins. Wear gloves and eye protection.
- Glass: Do not apply hot water to cold glass surfaces, as this can cause shattering. Allow glass to warm up gradually before cleaning with warm water.
- General: After cleaning, ensure all parts are completely dry before restoring power. Regularly monitor for unusual noises, odors, or smoke. If any are detected, disconnect power immediately and contact a qualified technician.
- Leak Inspection: Periodically check all connectors and welding joints for signs of oil stains, which may indicate a refrigerant leak. Only a qualified professional should perform welding repairs.
Troubleshooting
For complex issues, contact a professional technician or the manufacturer's service team.
- Unit not cooling properly: Potential causes include a temperature controller error code, loose wiring, or an iced-up evaporator coil. Check the drain pan, hose, and heater. Call a service center for diagnosis and adjustment.
- Condensation: During humid seasons, condensation may form on the exterior. This is normal. Simply wipe it off with a dry cloth.
- Damaged Power Cord: If the power cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service agent, or a similarly qualified person with an identical cord and plug to prevent risk.
