About the Bunn VPR
Overview
The Bunn VPR is a 12-cup pourover coffee brewer built for commercial service and one of the most recognizable decanter brewers in the VP Series — a family BUNN describes as recognized globally and as outperforming a typical pour-over brewer. The VPR brews into glass decanters seated on two individually controlled warmers, one upper and one lower, and it does it without a water line: pour cold water into the bowl on top and coffee brews straight into the decanter below. Output is rated at up to 3.8 gallons per hour, roughly 60.5 cups, which puts the VPR in the medium-volume class of decanter coffee makers.
PartHubz supplies the VPR in its core configuration (model 33200.0000, listed with 1 upper/1 lower warmer) and as model 33200.0015, the VPR with 2 glass decanters included. BUNN also builds the platform in related configurations for different service styles: the VPR-APS (33200.0010), a pourover airpot coffee brewer, and the VPR-TC (33200.6011), a pourover thermal carafe system.
Like the rest of the VP Series, the VPR works from a large holding tank that maintains water at 200°F, so brew-temperature water is waiting at the pour-over bowl whenever a batch is called for. BUNN has been building brewers chosen by restaurants and cafés since 1957, and the VPR reflects that commercial focus — down to the manufacturer's note that the warranty is void if this commercial equipment is used for residential or non-commercial use.
Key Features
- Two individually controlled warmers (1 upper / 1 lower) — hold one decanter at serving temperature while the next batch brews, or run regular on one warmer and decaf on the other.
- Pourover operation — just pour cold water in the top and coffee brews; with no water line to connect, the brewer can be set up wherever an outlet is available.
- Patented SplashGard® funnel — the black plastic brew funnel deflects hot liquids away from the hand during brewing.
- 200°F holding tank — the VP Series holding tank maintains water at brew temperature on standby, so a batch starts the moment water is poured.
- Medium-volume output — up to 3.8 gallons per hour, approximately 60.5 cups, brewed into 64 oz glass decanters.
- Stainless steel components in a compact black footprint just 8.0″ wide.
- Decanters included on 33200.0015 — the VPR with 2 Glass Decanters configuration includes two 64 oz glass decanters.

Operation
The two warmers are controlled individually, so one decanter can stay at serving temperature for customers while the other position handles the next batch. In practice many operators keep regular coffee on one warmer and decaf on the other, since each decanter and warmer works independently.
The SplashGard funnel is the safety piece in that workflow: as hot water and coffee pass through the brew funnel, the funnel deflects hot liquids away from the hand of the person brewing.
Applications
BUNN positions the VPR as a medium-volume decanter coffee maker, and that is the job it does best: counter service where decanters of drip coffee are poured cup after cup through a morning rush or all-day service. Restaurants and cafés have been choosing BUNN brewers since 1957, and at up to 3.8 gallons — about 60.5 cups — per hour, the VPR keeps a fresh decanter on each warmer through continuous service.
Because it brews from a pour-over bowl rather than a water line, the VPR is also the brewer operators turn to where plumbing a machine in is not practical: a back counter with no water rough-in, a seasonal or temporary service point, or a second brew station that only needs an outlet. The 8.0″ wide, 20.2″ tall, 15.9″ deep body suits tight counter runs and shared back-counter space.
Two notes for buyers: this is commercial equipment, and BUNN states the warranty is void if it is used for residential or non-commercial use, so it belongs in a business setting. California residents should also note the Prop 65 warning published with this product. For planning a counter layout, 2D CAD documentation is available for the unit.
