About the Atosa AWC0810-TF
Overview
The Atosa AWC0810-TF is an indoor walk-in cooler in a nominal 8' x 10' size. Its exterior dimensions, including the condensing unit, are 96" x 120" x 117". The cabinet itself measures 96" x 120" x 91" externally, with interior dimensions of 88" x 112" x 82". The model has a floor standard and a reinforced floor, and the manufacturer lists cooler operating temperatures of 35°F–38°F.
The cooler has white interior and exterior surfaces and a top-mounted, drop-in refrigeration system. The manufacturer's specifications list R404A refrigerant for the AWC0810-TF; the installation manual also says the condensing and evaporating units are factory-charged with R404A. The manual identifies one top-mounted evaporating unit with two motors and one 1.5 HP condensing unit.

Installation & Requirements
Location and space
The Atosa walk-in installation manual calls for at least 2" of clearance around the exterior of the panels for airflow. Check that the location also allows for the door swing and heated pressure relief before setting the panels. The manual specifies that indoor walk-ins must be in an environmentally controlled space, with relative humidity kept between 30% and 60% and a dew point of 50°F or less.
The refrigeration-system manual gives an outdoor ambient operating range of 5°F–113°F (-15°C–45°C) for the condensing unit. It says to place the unit in an ambient temperature below 113°F, with good ventilation and an unobstructed exhaust path. Keep the location away from strong heat sources, other equipment exhaust vents, strong steam and flammable gas. The manual also says the unit must not be buried in snow or exposed to garbage or oil mist. A roof or platform location must provide reliable load support. Choose a position that allows installation, daily operation and maintenance access; the manual advises keeping piping and wiring runs between units as short as possible.
Cabinet assembly and foundation
The complete cabinet consists of foamed insulated floor panels, wall panels, ceiling panels and a door assembly. Panels are identified by part number; the manual instructs installers to refer to the installation drawing, group panels by type and confirm site clearance before assembly. A firm, level and smooth foundation is important. The manual connects correct panel alignment and plumb installation with proper door self-closing, gasket sealing and condensation removal. It also cautions against twisting or mishandling the door assembly, which could leave it out of square.
The AWC0810-TF exploded view lists floor panels, ceiling panels, wall panels, corner panels, a door/frame panel, a 48" LED light and wire channel, and an extend ramp. The manual describes locking adjoining panels with the supplied hex wrench. It directs installers to align adjoining panel edges and engage the section latches, then follow the installation drawing and panel part numbers through assembly.
Refrigeration and electrical connections
The refrigeration installation manual says the evaporating unit is placed on the cabinet ceiling in the position and direction shown, with its vent cover plate installed from inside the walk-in. The condensing unit is positioned near the evaporator. The manual says not to install the securing screws until the top installation is complete. The factory-supplied suction line is 5/8" tubing with insulation; the 3/8" discharge line is uninsulated. The manual says to match the line labels to the correct evaporator valves. Both units are factory-charged with R404A, so the manual says field vacuuming and charging are not required.
The electrical supply must match the listed 208–240V, 60Hz, single-phase requirement. The manual states that main power supply wires are not provided by the factory. Its wiring instructions call for connecting the supply to L1 and L2 and connecting the ground wire to the ground connector. Electrical work should follow the supplied wiring instructions.
Operation
The manufacturer specifies that the cooler maintains 35°F–38°F and recommends setting the refrigerator between 35°F and 38°F for food preservation. In the manual's controller parameter table, the cooler start temperature is listed as 39°F and the stop temperature as 33°F. The controller table also lists a 55°F defrost termination temperature, a 5-minute drip time, a 6-hour interval between defrost cycles and Fahrenheit as the temperature unit. These are controller parameters in the manual, distinct from the manufacturer's stated cooler temperature range.
The manual's controller table identifies interval defrost as the cooler defrost mode. It lists the cooler's evaporating-fan setting as a mode in which fans are off during defrosting and delayed after defrosting. Refer to the equipment manual when checking or changing controller parameters.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The Atosa product sheet advises cleaning the condenser frequently to provide it with fresh air. The refrigeration-system manual also calls for locating the condensing unit where it is accessible for maintenance and has good ventilation and an unobstructed exhaust path. The walk-in manual advises keeping a copy of the installation and operation information available for reference. No additional cleaning chemicals or maintenance intervals are specified in the supplied product information.
Applications
The AWC0810-TF provides walk-in chilled storage for commercial foodservice operations that need room for bulk ingredients and refrigerated supplies. Atosa's refrigeration-system manual identifies fruit, meat and vegetable preservation among the applications for its refrigeration equipment. The stated cooler temperature range makes this model a fit for refrigerated storage rather than frozen storage.
