About the Atosa AWC1010-TF
Overview
The Atosa AWC1010-TF is an indoor walk-in cooler for commercial food storage. Its nominal 10' x 10' footprint provides 112" x 112" of interior floor space, and the listed exterior dimensions are 120" wide by 120" deep by 117" high when the top-mounted condensing unit is included. The cabinet itself is listed as 91" high without the condenser. The manufacturer’s specification sheet describes the cooler holding range as 35°F to 38°F; a retailer’s product description gives a broader 33°F to 38°F range.
The unit is built from foamed-in-place, 4" panels joined with cam locks. A reinforced floor is standard for this indoor model. The top-mounted, drop-in refrigeration arrangement, ramp, access door and interior lighting are part of the walk-in package. Atosa’s manual identifies the AWC1010 panel layout and component arrangement; use the installation drawing supplied with the unit to identify and position its numbered panels.
Key Features
- Walk-in storage: 10' x 10' nominal size, with 112" x 112" interior floor dimensions.
- Insulated enclosure: 4" foamed-in-place wall and ceiling panels with cam-lock connections. The manufacturer’s cooler specification sheet gives an R-value of R-29 for the 4" wall and ceiling panels.
- Reinforced floor: Standard on the indoor model.
- Top-mounted refrigeration: Drop-in refrigeration system described as low-noise in the manufacturer’s specification sheet and retailer product information.
- Door and access: 36" door, three spring-loaded heavy-duty Kason hinges, heavy-duty closer, and a Kason handle with a lock and inside safety release. The product information also lists diamond-tread kick plates and a heated door frame.
- Lighting: Digital LED light and a 48" ceiling-mounted LED light are listed as standard.
- Ramp: A ramp is included. The available sources differ on whether it is identified as interior or exterior; confirm the supplied configuration.

Installation & Requirements
Room and foundation
The installation manual calls for a minimum 2" clearance around the exterior of the panels for airflow, and says to account for door swing and the heated pressure-relief feature before setting panels. The manufacturer’s specification sheet says the overall height is 10' with the condenser installed and recommends an 11' ceiling height. The manual describes the indoor walk-in as requiring an environmentally controlled space, with relative humidity kept between 30% and 60% and a dew point of 50°F or less.
The manual stresses that the supporting floor must be firm, level and smooth. Correct panel alignment and a level installation affect door self-closing, gasket sealing and condensation removal. The manual says that an uneven or rough surface needs suitable preparation before the floor panels are installed. Before assembly, locate the installation drawing attached to the door, sort the numbered panels by group, and follow the drawing’s panel sequence.
Refrigeration placement and connections
The refrigeration installation manual gives an operating ambient range of 5°F to 113°F for the condensing unit. It calls for a location with good ventilation and unobstructed exhaust, where the unit is accessible for maintenance and supported by a reliably load-bearing roof, platform or other location. The manual also says to avoid nearby strong heat sources, equipment exhaust, strong steam, flammable gas, snow burial, garbage and oil mist.
The refrigeration manual identifies the evaporating unit as a ceiling-mounted component and the condensing unit as a top-mounted component. It describes connecting the supplied suction and discharge tubes to the corresponding valves, with the insulated 5/8" tube identified as the suction line and the 3/8" tube as the discharge line. The manual says the tubes and valves are labelled and cautions installers to connect the correct sides. It also states that the main power-supply wire is not provided by the factory; its wiring instructions show the supply conductors connected to L1 and L2 and the ground wire to the ground connector. Electrical ratings and refrigerant information differ among the supplied materials, so check the nameplate and unit-specific documentation before making connections.
Operation
The manufacturer’s specification sheet gives a cooler holding range of 35°F to 38°F. The installation manual’s controller table lists cooler start temperature at 39°F and stop temperature at 33°F, with Fahrenheit selected. These are controller parameter values in the manual, not a replacement for the published holding range. The manual also lists interval defrost for the cooler, a 4-hour interval and a 5-minute drip time. Controller settings can vary by configuration; refer to the controller instructions supplied with the equipment before changing parameters.
The manual’s refrigeration section says the condensing and evaporating units are factory charged and, in its installation instructions, says no field vacuum or refrigerant charge is needed. However, refrigerant details conflict across the supplied product materials. Check the actual unit label and matching documentation before service or operation.
Cleaning & Maintenance
The manufacturer’s specification sheet specifically advises cleaning the condenser frequently to give the unit more fresh air. It does not provide a calendar-based cleaning interval. The refrigeration manual recommends locating the condensing unit where it is accessible for daily operation and maintenance, with good ventilation and smooth exhaust. Keep the manual with the equipment for installation, operation, wiring, maintenance and component-adjustment reference.
For panel and door performance, the installation manual highlights the importance of a level, plumb assembly: door self-closing, gasket sealing and condensation removal depend on proper panel installation. The manual also instructs installers to document shipping damage on the freight bill, photograph damage and send the evidence to customer service.
Applications
The AWC1010-TF is suited to commercial kitchens and food-service operations that need a walk-in refrigerated area for ingredients and other food supplies. Its 10' x 10' footprint and listed 35°F–38°F holding range support bulk cold storage close to a production kitchen, receiving area or back-of-house workflow. The manual also describes the Atosa walk-in refrigeration system for preservation of fruit, meat and vegetables.
