About the Atosa CRDS-56
Overview
The Atosa CRDS-56 Countertop Refrigerated Square Display Case provides chilled display space for cafés, bakeries, hotels, supermarkets and other foodservice settings. Its 5.6 cu. ft. capacity, clear glass panels and LED interior lighting make displayed products visible, while the stainless steel interior and exterior and black frames give the case a clean, commercial look. Two rear sliding doors provide access for loading and restocking.
The case has an electronic temperature controller, two stainless steel shelves and a rear-mounted compressor using R290 refrigerant. Atosa materials give different temperature figures: the product listing states a 33°F–41°F control range, the specification sheet states that the case maintains 35°F–38°F and recommends that range for food preservation, and the manual describes a normal cabinet temperature of 36°F–47°F. Consult the equipment’s controller and operating documentation when setting or checking the temperature.

Installation & Requirements
Placement
The manual calls for a dry location with good ventilation. Keep the case away from heat sources and dust, and do not place it in direct sunlight. Set it on a flat, solid surface. Allow at least 20 cm between the equipment and a wall or other objects. The manual also cautions against blocking ventilation openings.
Electrical connection
Use an independent, single-phase, three-pole socket with a reliably grounded earth connection. The manual specifies a 115–127 V, 60 Hz, single-phase supply and says to install a power stabilizer with capacity matching the equipment if the supply does not meet the stated requirement. The specification sheet lists 115 V, 60 Hz, single phase, and a NEMA 5-15P plug. Keep the power cord out of aisles and protect it from heavy loads and sharp objects.
Moving and first start-up
Keep the unit upright during transportation and handling. If it tilts during transport, the manual says to leave it upright for 24 hours before starting it so compressor lubricant can flow back. After installation, clean the cabinet parts, bottom cover plate and shelves, then place the shelves in position. Run the empty cabinet for two hours and wait until its temperature is within the indicated range before loading food.
Operation
The case has a lighting switch; check that the shelf lighting works when switched on. The controller is supplied with default parameters, and the manual advises against changing them without a specific need. Its listed controller values are a 36°F (2°C) set point, 5°F (3°C) differential, one-minute output activation delay at start-up, four-minute anti-short-cycle delay, a three-hour interval between defrost cycles and a 15-minute maximum defrost length. The manual identifies the controller action as cooling and gives resolution settings for Celsius; refer to the controller operating instructions for use.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean the case frequently to support food hygiene and quality. Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use neutral detergent and mild water on the cabinet, then wipe repeatedly with a clean cloth to remove detergent residue. A damp towel may be used on the exterior, but do not expose the equipment directly to water. Do not flush the case with water. Let it dry completely before use.
Clean dust and debris from the condenser regularly; the manual specifies a monthly interval. Remove the dustproof hood, rinse the filter mesh with clean water and let it dry before reinstalling it. Do not use organic solvents such as gasoline or alcohol, which the manual warns can damage internal parts and generate explosive gas. Disconnect power before installing or removing parts. For electrical or refrigeration failures, the manual directs service to an authorized manufacturer service agent or qualified maintenance professional.
Troubleshooting
The manual advises disconnecting power before simple troubleshooting and calling a professional or refrigeration maintenance staff for maintenance and replacement work. If the problem remains unresolved, contact a professional.
- Cabinet temperature is too high: The manual lists poor socket contact, input control-wire failure, nearby heat, frost blockage, overloading or blocked air inlets and outlets, refrigerant leakage, a dirty condenser, fan failure, controller failure, a temperature probe touching the bottom, and voltage outside the permitted range among possible causes. Listed checks or remedies include repairing or replacing the socket, repairing the wire fault, moving the case or heat source, manually defrosting, reducing or repositioning the load, checking for leaks and refilling refrigerant, cleaning the dust hood, repairing or replacing the fan or controller, repositioning the probe, and using a voltage regulator with the appropriate supply.
- Excessive noise or an unstable case: The manual lists an incorrectly positioned case and loose fan or compressor screws. Adjust the feet to level the unit and tighten the screws.
- Compressor does not run: The manual lists a switch that is off or faulty and an unreliable wire connection. Check that the switch is on and inspect the plug connection.
- Light does not work: The manual lists no power input, a damaged light power supply or a damaged light. Check the power input; replacement or repair should be handled by qualified maintenance staff.
Applications
The manual identifies supermarkets, cake shops and hotels as suitable settings. The countertop format also suits chilled product presentation in bakeries, cafés and convenience stores. Use the shelves to arrange products for display while keeping air inlets and outlets unobstructed.
